TGIF: It's a Wrap!

Today we'll be using our "Give Luck" wrap to demonstrate a technique for gifting a long rectangular box.
1. Lay wrap face-down and place the box off center, and with its length parallel to you.

2. Start rolling box away from you. Take the longer end.

3. Start twisting till you reach about 4 inches from the end.

4. Fold over to opposite end and tie a knot.

5. Fluff ends so the "Give Luck" message shows. Voila!

Happy friday and happy wrapping, folks!

TGIF: It's a Wrap!

Today we'll be learning to wrap 2 books in a chic carry-on style. Shown here is our Give Joy wrap, but any square-ish fabric will work too.

1. Place fabric wrap face-down. Lay the 2 books in the middle.

2. Turn books outward. Repeat.

3. Take the ends of the wrap and tuck them inside each book.

4. Lift the books and fold inward until they are next to each other again.

4. Take the opposite ends of the fabric and bring them towards each other. Pull across opposite ends.

5. Still holding the 2 ends, flip the whole thing over. Tie a knot with the ends.

6. Voila! a tote to tote your books!

TGIF: It's a Wrap!

Since Easter will be here in no time, we thought it would be appropriate to have a bunny-style wrapping tutorial today!

Today we're using our Give Cheer fabric wrap. This tutorial is great for wrapping round objects.
1. Place fabric wrap face-down and put object in the middle.

2. Take opposite corners towards each other and bunch together.

3. Tie a knot and fluff to form bunny ears.

4. Take the remaining opposite corners and wrap around the bunny ears.
5. Tie a knot on the back.

This is what it looks like at the back.

And completed front view.... voila!

Happy wrapping, folks!

TGIF: It's a Wrap!

Today we'll be wrapping a wine bottle in kimono style. A nice little complement to last week's napkin tutorial for your dinner party...
We're using our grey "Give Cheer" wrap but you can of course use any fabric you like.

1. Place fabric wrap face-down. Fold the top side towards you and fold again to create a pleat.

2. Bring pleated side up towards bottle and wrap both sides across each other.

3. Wrap a rubberband around the bottle neck to secure the wrap.
4. Take the side closest to you and fold twice to create a pleat.

5. Bring the side up towards bottle and secure with a knot on the back.

6. Fluff the ends to show the "Give Cheer" message. Voila!

TGIF: It's a Wrap!

Today's wrap tutorial is posted on 100 layer cake, where I was guest-blogging this week. (Thanks 100 layer cake ladies!!) It's a kimono-style napkin fold, and so versatile for dinner parties and events. Here we go...

We're using our mustard "Give Luck" wrap but you can of course use any napkin / fabric you like.

1. Place fabric wrap face-down. Fold the top side towards you and fold again to create a pleat.
2. Take one corner and fold towards the middle.
3. Repeat on other side to form the kimono collar.
4. Take the side closest to you and fold towards the kimono collar and make a pleat.

5. Turn the whole thing over.
6. Take one end and fold in.

7. Repeat on other side. You should have a neat rectangular shape now. Turn it over….
8. … voila!

Have a lovely weekend! Happy wrapping!
